Getting Married

This is what happens when Epicurean is in the midst of planning her nuptuals.

I’m getting married in exactly 282 days. I’m freaking out over everything that still needs to be done. We’re keeping it small and simple 124 guests. Why do I feel like that’s not small, nor will it turn out to be simple? I’ve gotten the basics done - found the venue (it’s gorgeous) the dress, we’ve got the cake ordered (it’s amazing, Felicia is outdoing herself this time - the mini mock up she made was spectacular), we’ve got the DJ and the band, invitations go out in a month, we need to find a cater (still), we’ve got a photographer and videographer, the florist is done, but why do I still feel like what isn’t done is more important that what has been set? I know that’s not the case. I just don’t want to be one of those brides that is stressed out until the last day and turns into a bridezilla.

However, I am excited to be marrying my fiancé - every moment that I know him and the longer I know him, the more I feel like this man is incredible.

My Masters will be completed in May so I will be Epicurean, B.A, M.A, and now I’m wondering - do I want a PhD? Probably not.. I don’t see myself doing it. But then again I didn’t see myself doing my MA … we’ll see what happens.

I just thought it might be time for an update.

Despite all the planning you’re busy with, I wish I were in your position. Getting married to your guy is the best feeling in the world. It’s definitely a new and exciting beginning. But I’m sure you’re still way preoccupied with all the details of your wedding. It’s fun being busy, isn’t it? And when your big day comes, you’ll get to enjoy all of your hard work.
