MiraclesMiracles are occuring all around us in many different forms. They are not always grand, some are much smaller than others and many are barely noticeable or audible. It’s how we choose to percieve these events that make them what they are.

I was just on the phone with a friend and she said to me that she has been craving for the last week, some uplifiting material that she could listen to as she was in a place where she felt she needed somthing like this to lift her spirits. I said to her that I had plenty that I could give her that she might find interesting. Not a grand miracle you might say but it just so happened that we spoke today, when she was in the need of something and I just happen to have the thing that she needed.

GodI have to admit I’m not even sure what a Tamali is but I once heard it used in a movie and it sounded cool! So who is this character we refer to as God, Ram, Allah, Universe, Supreme, Shiva, Alpha/Omega? etc etc!

Who is this being that many believe created us and then blame when things go wrong? Did A conscious, sentient being create the universe, that is, bring it into existence and if so for what purpose? Or are we here by accident? All familar questions and I’m sure you’ve all asked a few of these in your time.

We will never know for sure but I personally believe that the Supreme force in the Universe is a conscious being living in an unconscious way. I believe that we are all a part of that being. Every Molecule throughout the Universe is interconnected in something I call a UWW (Universal Wide Web) I believe that Ultimately the Universe is contructed of a material energy called the body of the Supreme. We are all interconnected in this. Separation doesn’t exist. Absolute interconnection does. It is a connection of choice, beauty and cooperation. This Universe is part of something much greater. What those parts are I do not know but I feel like the whole is the supreme being and I am a major part of that as are we all. We all have a chosen roles to play. There was a point where you were asked, what would you like to do? And at that moment we all made a conscious choice about what we would like to do while we spend time on a different plain of existence.

The SecretFor the the last few weeks I’ve been seeing people on blogs all over the place like Erin Pavlina, Mystic Saint, Lyman’s Blog etc talking about this film called: The Secret.

All you need is an open mind, I don’t think anyone could really explain through words what the secret is about, all you can do it watch it and take from it what your own heart needs. It is an amazing thing, it’s only cost $5 for a single viewing online (less than the cost of a movie from blockbuster) or $30 for the DVD. I watched it online yesterday and then I immediately ordered the DVD.

It costs very little but I submit to you that it is worth every penny! :)

RushYou’ve all heard the saying: “Time flies by when you’re having fun” which is very true. Our perception of time is altered dependent on our state of mind. However, have you also noticed that: “Time flies by when you’re in a hurry?” No? Probably not because I’ve just made it up but isn’t it so true that if you’re in a rush to get somewhere, the second hand on your analogue time piece just seems go a lot faster?! But what you don’t realise is, that your entire biology goes faster and you end up ageing faster than you realise because of the physical reaction to feeling rushed or stressed! (This is also the reason why people are feeling “old” at a much younger age and also end up getting to a point where they feel like their entire life has passed them by when they’ve reached 30.)

Feel younger! :)

Playtime!I’ve recently turned 29 and there is absolutely no way in heaven that I feel like a 29 year old! In fact I look much younger than that too! (Most people say that I even look at least 10 years younger than I actually am! Judge for yourself by clicking here!

With regards to my looks, all I can say is that I’ve been blessed with a young face. But, in terms of my persona, I also don’t “feel” like a 29 year old! I feel more like 16 years young! (Yes, I deliberately used the word young because that’s exactly how I feel!)

Hi All,

I just wanted to give my apologies for being so quiet over the last two weeks. I’ve been busy training up as a Radio DJ, among many other things, as well as still doing my full time job and so it has been pretty much the busiest two weeks of my life.

I will be back to posting up as normal from now. Hope you are all keeping well and I look forward to see you all on the blogosphere soon! ;)

Dr Why?I’m a social scientist. That doesn’t mean I see the world as one big laboratory, but just that I think people are generally rats - just kidding!!! Ok seriously though, I’m a sociologist and as anyone with a PhD can tell you, you become programmed to analyse everything, not just society, but yourself, your relationships and your life. People often tell me I think too much and I guess it’s an occupational hazard.

For years I’d way up the pros and cons of so many situations I should have known better to avoid, without all the deliberation. Until one day it was pointed out to me that I could justify almost anything to myself for a particular moment in time. It made me take a step back and wonder why I was often so hell bent on being so destructive to myself and why I would wrap potentially damaging situations up with a nice bow, arguing on its behalf, even though I was aware of both sides to the argument, including the negative!

I think it was at that point that I made a choice, and that choice was iman (faith). So my blogs may not be the most inspirational, and often I’m sure it’s just about me muddling through, but I hope you find my tangents of some interest!

ExistenceI never had a father.

Well, like everyone, I have a biological father but I never had a “daddy.” Unlike most people, however, I don’t know who my old man is. I’m a child of rape, at a family function my Mum got pregnant with me - the only thing I know for sure is that I do belong to that family. I just don’t know which one to look to when I want to send a father’s day card. Until I was five I called one of my Mum’s brothers “daddy” because I lived with him for a while - I didn’t know any better. Turns out it wasn’t him… wrong side of the family. The more I think about the past, the more I realise how insanely odd things in my childhood have been. I tried explaining the above to someone I’m fairly close to, yesterday, but it didn’t go over too well.

This is what I told her:

5 a dayIn the UK, there has been a recent campaign to promote the eating of 5 fruits and veg a day to maintain a healthy body. That’s great, everyone want’s their body to stay healthy and everyone knows how to create a healthy body and yet they will continue to eat poorly. They don’t realise the damage their doing by junk food on a daily basis.

Looking after the body is incredibly important but there is also a “5 a day” rule for keeping your soul or spirit healthy! :)

1) Meditation or prayer: - Some would say that meditation and prayer are two different things but I say that both those actions can create the same result. What do we do during prayer or meditation? We create thoughts, listen to ourselves, initiate a conversation with God, work on our self development. Either way, whatever your preferred choice of method, Meditating or praying every day will create a balance within the self

2) Smile: - A smile goes such a long way. Give a smile to a stranger. Or if you’re not feeling confident enough about smiling at strangers, smile more with the people around you. Smile and initiate a conversation with someone at work that you’ve never met before, you will be amazed at the reaction you will get! A smile creates warmth and love in your surrounding environment.

3) Laugh: - One of my links you will see on the right links to a site about “Laughter Yoga!” Laughter is such a benenficial thing for the mind and body alike. It’s a release but also it supplements greater energy and zeal. Laugh as much as you can during your day, tell others a joke and make them laugh. Laughter is contagious! Also check out the “Motivational Humour” blog for further information on employing more humour and laughter in your daily life.

4) Give: - What you require for yourself, give to another. If you want happines, give happiness to another. If you want peace, give peace to another, if you want understanding, give understanding to another. The more you give the more you will receive. The giving must be without expectation and must also be a humble and genuine gesture out of love or compassion for the people around you.

5) Appreciate: - Appreciate all that have and all that you are. We, as human beings, have a wonderful gift. A gift to experience anything that we choose. If you are blessed with abundance, then appreciate all that you have. Supplication closes the door to abundance whereas appreciation creates even more abundance.

So remember to meditate, smile, laugh, give and appreciate throughout your day to create a powerful and uplifting day for yourself every single day!

Driving“What are the driving ‘ologies” I hear you ask? Well the driving ‘ologies is a new book I’m working on that states: That the state of your life can very easily be demonstrated by the way you drive your car. (I can hear the moans and groans of confusion already) :P

Well here is an easy and simple demonstration. Here is a set of questions for you:

Do you pay attention to the road? Do you drive unconsciously or consciously? Do you check your mirrors when making turns? Do you speed and are you tense or are you quite chilled?

And here is another set of questions for you: Do you pay attention to your life? Do you live consciously or unconsciously? Are you conscientious of those around you? Does it feel like your life is racing along with life outside like a blur or do you have the time to appreciate the journey?

Notice the similarities? Yes? If not I will be elaborating further on this issue. Next time you drive anywhere, observe yourself or get someone else to observe you and note any similarities in the way you drive and live your life. ;)

I suppose the question I want to pose is this: How do you know when you’re happy? How do you differentiate happiness from a state of contentment?

So I have determined that it’s easier to ignore people’s reactions rather than deal with them head on.

Eliminate StressMost of us will have some sort of task list that we write down on a regular basis. I do mine weekly and just make a note of my main appointments and tasks that I would like to see completed by the end of that week.

Between the points of the task list, you might get loads of other spontaneous tasks arising that you will need to take care of. (Looking after the Computer networks at work, this is very often the case!) When it feels that you’re getting bogged down at work with hundreds of things to do the last thing on your mind will be to take a break!! But, if you were hoping to get things done quickly, efficiently and with accuracy and yet you’re getting stressed and frustrated, it should be the first thing you do!

If you feel like you’re getting to the point where you are feeling stressed then you need to tackle your own stress first before you continue any further otherwise you run the risk making mistakes and being in and even worse state than when you started.

So how do you tackle the stress? Many people will have their own methods, some will listen to music, some will keep those stress toys on their desk, others will go and play sports, do some meditation, stretch, eat, drink, you name it, the list goes on and on!

RunningYesterday evening, for the first time ever in my life, I ran 2 miles non stop and even sprinted for a couple of hundred yards. I was over the moon when my best friend and I passed the two mile marker! :)

For me, it’s a huge achievement for someone who, at this time last year, could barely walk down the stairs without being in pain. It was because I used the power of choice that I was able to finish the run.

As much as I feel that I it was great achievement I am also aware that there is also much yet to do! My long term, “Greater Me” vision that I hold about myself is to run the marathon within the next two years. If I, Amit, a former 22 stone couch potato, now a 18.5 stone life coach can accomplish this then I hope in some way, it will be an inspiration to other to do the same. Every day is a challenge, it’s never an easy challenge, it takes a huge amount of physical and mental stamina to push through those pain barriers and come through smiling and proud on the other side.

Always have pride in your accomplishments, share them with others with the aim of inspiring them to go beyond their comfort zone and smash the barriers that have built up over time.

I sometimes hear some people go on and on about how they don’t know what their purpose in life is or they ask questions like: What is the meaning of life” All to often, when they’ve got even a small part of the answer, half their life has passed them by!

I have to firstly confess that right now it is 6.43 am and I’ve been up all night as I was playing poker with my friends. This idea just came to me so I thought I would post it up now but please excuse me for the lack of coherance.

If you have no clue about what your purpose is or what you want to do with your life then I suggest to you to stop trying to establish a purpose for yourself or put yourself into a box when you don’t have clear direction. Instead, just go ahead and try different things. If you not sure now, thinking about it isn’t going to produce answers, the more active you are the more likely you are to achieve direction and drive. So instead of purpose, destiny or the meaning of life, Just try things!

Experiment, go join a dance class, start a business, join a conservation group etc etc etc, there is so much to choose from in this world, just don’t let it all pass you by while you “think” about what you “want” to do or what your “purpose” is.

I’ll leave it there for now and expand more on this as a later time as I’m actually typing this with my eyes closed! :P

Goodnite and God bless x

Beautiful DayNecessity and Obligation are powerful motivators. Ask yourself this: Are they the best motivators? Do they serve your purpose? Do they bring you joy in the day to day activities that you do?

Do you find yourself often acting out of necessity and obligation? Take your job for example. Are you there out of necessity or because you choose to be? When was the last time you did something out of sheer enjoyment as opposed to acting out of obligation or necessity?

Right now you’re sitting here reading this blog post, did you choose to come and read it? Did you stumble upon it? Why are you continuing to read it? Are you staying because you choose to or because you feel obliged in some way to read to the end? I’m going to tell you now, if you’re here out of obligation then I release you of it and offer you the choice to leave. Anyone who comes here, I want them to be here out of choice and because they enjoy and love what they see!

A warrior amongst cowards
A fighter placed in a war

You are a boy forever young
You are a child who’s never wrong

You are a constant companion
In life you are a champion
You’re a trustworthy friend
My problems you always mend

Built from brick of red and grey
Buildings scattered, choking the luscious grounds
These constant images of everyday

Flowers and gardens, and an air of grace
Etched against a backdrop of blue and white
With patches of green from place to place
Mixes of colour, stretching to great heights

HeartWe know you say be strong in our hearts
But how can we be strong when our lives fall apart
As our eyes see grey and our thoughts so blue
How can our dreams shine again
The way they did with you

How can you go, when there’s so much left for you to do
There’s still so much you need to teach, so much knowledge you knew
The passing of your soul is silenced through cries
And with this our hearts are filled with sorrows and sighs

You sit and wait from your heavenly seat
You watch and give guidance to those who you see
You send bundles of comfort when we crash to defeat
You cuddle us when we can not be the persons we want to be

IdeaWhen was the last time you had a creative idea in your head? If you have an idea, about anything at all, a new business, a concept, a blog post, an idea for a book, ideas or suggestions at work, ideas for your own life, it doesn’t matter what it may be, always embrace it!

In the past, I used to dismiss my own ideas and because of that, many of the great ideas I did have, have now been long forgotten. At some point I started writing down my ideas and just leave them there. But now I am beginning to write them down and act on them.

All too often an idea might come to you, you tell someone about this idea and they will not give it the same enthusiasm that you initially did and as a result you can loose the passion and power of that idea. The first thing you should do when you have an idea is note it down!! Wherever you are, what ever you’re doing, STOP! If you’re driving, pull over! If you’re in a meeting at work, scribble it down as quickly as possible! If you’re on the loo, then keep repeating it to yourself outloud until you get the opportunity to write it down…just don’t forget to wash your hands! :D
