Ever since my good friend shot to fame as one of the best wedding photographers around, I’ve be dabbling with my photography skills, to try and capture the perfect shot. I love my iPhone as it’s got endless gadgets and gizmo’s on there including the great camera. The tools you can get like Pano for the iPhone add the endless experimentation you can do. Here are some of the best shots I’ve captured without any tweaking.
Meet Simba. She’s one cool kitty. Chilling on the arm of the sofa and casually posing for the picture tucking one paw in and the other paw out. This chocolate brown fur ball sure knows how to chillax after a long hard day of playing hide and seek! A beautiful shot of the main highway through Death Valley. It was a truly picturesque scene of a road that appeared to continue on for what almost seemed like an eternity. You wouldn’t want your car to break down there! This gem of pic is the unique and rather bizarre New York New York hotel in Las Vegas. You can see the roller coaster surrounding the hotel as well. It just looks magnificent! Meet my secret weapon on the badminton court. It allows me to intimidate my opponents and lets them know that nothing short of cryptonite (or a cup cake) will take me down! While I was is India I had some extra time on my hands and so I thought why not practice my photography skills. Urrr, there’s my phone….and some car keys, oh and that cafe served a mean iced tea! Spider-Claus – I saw this cunning Santa last Xmas and as you can tell from the look on his face he was clearly shocked at my catching him on camera. I did have to remind him that he was out during the day and I asked him why he was trying to mimic Spiderman and not just going in the chimney like all the other Santa’s! When my friends and I were in California we went to June lake and arrived at night so we had no idea what we were arriving to. When I woke up in the morning I was stunned to see the gorgeous scenery. Absolutely breathtaking! I’m like a fly, I see lights, and I hover over to them. I couldn’t resist taking this stupendous shot of this amazing hotel in Vegas. Not a bad picture even if I do say so myself! *ahem* I saved the best for last. This is, of course, the Colorado river taken from the Hoover Dam. This is one of my favourite shots and shows that you don’t need expensive cameras and equipment to capture moments that take your breath away.

Thank you Amit! It was a tad bit confusing on the first paragraph how these photos were taken. Thank you I am sold and will get the little handy dandy Pano for my genius iPhone
!!!
Great photos. I went to Vegas twice last year. The second time was to watch my daughter run the first Rock n Roll Marathon and meet her new boyfriend. We went and had a wonderful dessert in the New York Hotel.
I also love photography. I don’t own an Iphone but am thinking of getting a better camera. Thanks for the inspiration!

Terrific, Amit! Thanks for sharing.
My favorite is the cabin photo. I love arriving somewhere at night in the dark and waking up in the morning to gorgeous surroundings.

Hey Belinda, it was an awesome shock to see those amazing mountains and pretty much nothing else when we woke up! Didn’t see any bears though!

Hello Amit,
Beautiful, breath taking and funny (Santa) picture. I have not been to the United States.
Seeing Vegas picture reminded me of the movie ‘ocean’s eleven’ and 21.
Bye for now,
Cheryl

Speaking of which Cheryl, do you remember the scene at the end of Oceans eleven with the fountain? I have a video of that, I’ll share that with you!

Thanks for sharing – I like the badminton shot best – a loaded weapon ready for action.

Hi Amit.
This is a cool photo set. I don’t think I knew that they had a New York New York building in Las Vegas, and it is pretty nifty-looking.
It is hard to beat an image of mountains with snow on them. I like mountains and snow, as I’m pretty sure basically every other person does, so it is a good combination. I went hiking up a mountain with snow on it a couple of weeks ago and we turned back when the snow was covering too much of the trail.
Entertaining pictures.

Hey Armen, so glad you like the pictures and yep that New York hotel is just simply amazing! But there is nothing quite like seeing a snow capped mountain and then hitting the trail.

I am currently crazy over my iphone and Cannon 550D/Digital Rebel T2i! My husband just bought the ipad and I have yet to lay my hands on it. I haven’t tried the Pano though. I’d be interested to find out more of what it is about. Thanks for the recommendation!

Hey Baker, glad you like! I think I sometimes just get lucky with some of these shots although that’s not from the lack of trying!
