Hey Mital, sorry for delay in replying! For some strange reason I didn't get an email for this comment...wierd! :P

Wow, I admire you for being able to wake up without an alarm clock, I haven't quite managed that yet although I did wake up at 5 am this morning without my alarm. My motivation at the moment is my morning walks! :) I want to hear all about your trip to India too! Where did you go, what did you see etc?

Hey Amit,

Great tips man! I was having a problem with waking up early, but I just recently got back from India and I'm still riding the Indian time zone. So I'm waking up at 4:30-5am every morning and starting my morning with a couple of hours of meditating. I seem to just automatically wake up around that time everyday, it may be anywhere between 4:30 and 5:30, I don't have a set time, whenever I wake up I wake up. But, as soon as I wake up the first thing on my mind is meditation and knowing that I 'll have a quiet peaceful meditation, while the rest of the world is asleep motivates me to jump out of that bed and get started.
It really helps to have something that motivates you to get out of bed, something that excites you and you can't wait to get to. Let this be the first thought as you wake. You'll notice yourself waking up energised and at a regular time everyday.

Hey Kavi,

You're definitely on the right track though, even that vision + inspirational board you put up next to bed uplifted me when I saw it and so it's a good way of lifting your spirits and relaxing your soul at night time! You've inspired me! :-D

Hey Fleming,

Giving up the coffee was definitely a huge thing for me, it was from the day I gave it up that I noticed a immediate difference in the quality of my sleep. What about trying some gentle relaxing music while you're in bed to make it easier to fall asleep?

Hi Tabs, Apologies for that, let me know if it happens again with your comments being marked as spam and I'll see what I can do to sort it out.

I couldn't agree with you more on what you said and it probably is the most important ingredient of the 6 I mentioned. I do the same too, if I have one bad day, I crucify myself the next, which is the worst thing to do as it leads to the cycle of vicious self-destruction that goes on to produce depression, anxiety and stress. We all have bad days, the trick to turn the bad day into a good day is, accept it, do something different you wouldn't normally too, or if you're a bit of a lazy bum like me, you can watch your fav t.v. shows to lift your mood, or an inspirational movie, or throw on some of your favorite music and shake that booty!

Hey amu, these pointers have really helped me too. I've had many sleepless nights due to anxious energy, constantly thinking about work, my life, lack of direction, etc. I was getting so caught up in it, that it started to consume me, day and night! As suggested, i'm downloading some NLP stuff, so that my mind set can change! Thanks Darlin....my angel! :)

Amit, thanks for the excellent ideas. I'll use your suggestions. During the past couple of months I've had some severe problems waking up many times during the night, keeping myself awake with some anxiety or other (basically the fear of death, I think) . . . although the situation has improved a lot since I did some real spiritual seeking for help as I lay in the bed.

I guess I should try not have coffee in the afternoon. I really never thought it affected me.

Thanks!

Thanks for the great list and how are you doing? I sent a comment a few days ago but it went to spam for some reason, so I hope this gets through. PS. You can edit out the spam part. As I was saying, we all get lazy, tired and stressed but your number 6 point (Stop beating yourself up) is where we compound the issue. We get lazy, etc and then spend days beating ourselves up and not accomplishing anything and the vicious cycle continues. I just came back from quite a long vacation where it occurred to me that when I am home I am constantly doing something, I never just stop there is always more and more to do. During the vacation I did stop, the phone was not ringing off the hook, I didn’t have people and things that needed my attention yesterday, I just enjoyed living in the moment. That feeling by the way, disappeared less than 12 hours after I got home in fact the calls and requests started last day of my vacation.

I am home now and I have promised myself to have a lot more moments of peace, quiet and solitude so I don't crash, get stressed out and beat myself silly for letting it get so bad.

Thinking of you as always,
