Recall, if you will, the visions you had as a child, of all the things you would be able to buy when you grew up. Maybe you dreamed of big houses, sports cars, and ladies – maybe you thought about those wardrobes that would go on forever and parties that would make your prom pale into insignificance.
How has that all turned out?
I’m willing to bet, that as you grew older, other things become more important; your priorities changed.
Our materialism diminishes as we search for hidden depths within ourselves and the quality of our interactions.
Sometimes, when those bills come in, and you can’t do the things you want to because funds are short, don’t you just wish you had the money thing nailed?
Who wouldn’t want to have more cash in the bank? After all, it’s what gives us peace of mind. It puts us in a position of choice. It makes us more confident and able to deal with what life throws at us.
Without money in the bank, everything gets just a little bit scarier.
If you’ve experienced this, and you’re struggling with attracting the kind of cash you deserve, then YOU ARE NOT ALONE! It’s not your fault.
The truth is, unless we’re very lucky, there is nothing to say that we will be taught how to get into our money groove. We’re not taught at school how to think and feel in order to attract abundance. We’re not shown how to make money, how to grow a business, or how to invest.
These are all things we have to actively seek out.
So maybe you’ve been doing just that. The fact that you read “Unlimited Choice” is a credit to your searching.
Maybe you’ve read a book or two on personal finance. Perhaps you’ve listened to some audio meditation tracks and hoped that would rewire your subconscious. Maybe you’ve also read a bit about personal development.
If you’re reading this blog, you’re certainly ahead of the curve when it comes to understanding and creating abundance.
The thing that is going to make the real difference as to whether you can push forward and attract the kind of money you would choose, or forever suffer the aching of knowing there is so much more to you than the life you’re living right now, is the degree to which you take responsibility for your inner world.
Your outer world is a direct reflection of your inner world.
Get your inner world under control and you get to choose the circumstances of your life.
The Problem You Face
The problem is your buried thoughts and emotions which are causing all the drama. I know it sounds crazy if it’s the first time you’re hearing this.
When I start working with new clients I have this same conversation with them.
Even though it’s not your fault; even though you did everything right; even though you were nice to that person; and even though you have no physical control over what is going on, the root cause of whatever is going on that you don’t like, is within you.
By the same token, everything that is going right, that you like, you are responsible for creating.
The only difference is up until now you’ve been doing this all unconsciously, without awareness.
Now you know, you can do this consciously.
I still haven’t figured out the mechanism. I can’t tell you it’s a certain electromagnetic frequency, or that it’s not electromagnetic, it’s a quantity that has yet to be discovered in units that have yet to be named. What I do know intuitively, and in working with hundreds of people to correct this problem, is that what you think and feel inside is what creates what your experience outside.
Even if it’s not something you physically caused in the traditional sense. Somehow, the thoughts we think have a habit of manifesting.
Even if we thought them a long time ago. or we don’t remember them or even if we don’t consciously think them.
If they’re in our mind, even if they’re suppressed… somewhere along the line they will show themselves in your physical world.
What Most People Do
What most people do when their inner fears manifest is that they think more about them.
They worry about them. They fret. They go over the same fears again and again in an attempt to protect themselves from them. Guess what this does?
You got it! The more you think about that thing, the more weight you add to it. The more power you put behind the thought that you’re now having a job getting it out of your head. All you can think about is the injustice, the anger, the fear, or whatever it is that comes up when your buttons are being hit in this way.
And these thoughts loop. So, in effect, you end up practicing the loop – and manifest more of what you don’t want.
So if you’re worried about money, or you’re thinking “I can’t possibly make more money” or, “I’m not worthy of being able to make more money”, or “I don’t know how” that is PRECISELY what you’re creating in your reality.
Breaking the cycle
How do you stop thinking about what you don’t want?
And how do you start thinking about what you DO want?
Now that you know that it’s your thoughts that are creating the circumstances you’re experiencing. Even though you kind of get it but aren’t sure you believe it,There are certain things you can start to do to correct your thinking, even if the thoughts that are subconscious at the moment.
The first thing to recognise is that you’re in control of your thoughts. You can choose to notice them and you can choose to drop them.
The second thing is you’re also in control of your subconscious. The world of psychotherapy has done an amazing job of allowing us to think that for the most part our unconscious thoughts are the cause of our problems. As a result we have assumed that we have no control over them. It simply isn’t true.
The subconscious is simply the thoughts that you’re not looking at, the thoughts you’re not immediately aware of.
And there are very definite ways to make conscious the unconscious, look at the thoughts that are screwing things up for us, and then drop them.
How To Take Back Control of Your Subconscious
Firstly, this isn’t difficult once you start doing it, so hang with me; I’m not going to ask you to bend a spoon with the power of your mind.
This stuff is easy, I’ve taught kids to do it. You just need to focus and then do it. Let me explain:
The subconscious is like having a warehouse full of stuff with no lights on. Your conscious mind is like a flash light which you can use to shine around outside the warehouse (pointless!) or you can take it back into the warehouse (your subconscious mind) and look around for these thoughts that are the cause of the problems.
Nothing in the warehouse can hurt you.
Everything there is just a thought. A thought that you’ve placed there and that you can evaporate just by looking at it and choosing to drop it from your inventory.
So your task is to shine your flash light around the inside of this warehouse and look at all the thoughts that are causing your problems.
And here’s a clue – every thought that makes you miserable, stressed, tired, low, or bad about yourself is a thought that needs to go.
Even if you think that that thought is what keeps you safe, or keeps people paying attention to you, or motivates you to work hard – that thought is a thought that is stopping you from being everything you possibly can be in this life. All you need to do is shine your flash light on it, see if for what it is (a thought) and drop it.
There you have it. A simple and easy exercise which will actually give you control back over your own mind and your life. Remember, the reason we’re looking at your thoughts and taking out the ones that are pulling you down, is because then all that are left are the good ones; the ones that you want to allow to manifest. Just like the dream you had when you were a kid of having that great job, amazing friends to hang out with, confidence, and happiness by the truckload!
Now it’s your turn.
I never leave the scene of having learned something without putting at least a piece of it into play straight away. So before you finish reading this article, close your eyes and go into your warehouse with your flash light and call forward the thoughts that you’re going to drop from your inventory.
And as they come into focus, make a note of a couple and then evaporate them there and then with your flash light.
That’s it, just by becoming aware of them, and consciously deciding to drop them, you can.
Write down in the comments below two thoughts you’ve just evaporated just by looking at them. Just two thoughts that are making you miserable, or broke, or stuck, and that you’ve chosen to ditch.
